BNP suggests 10 proposals on Rohingya crisis

Staff Correspondent: The BNP (Bangladesh Nationalist Party) has suggested 10 points proposal to solve Rohingya crisis.

The proposals were put during a round table discussion titled ‘Rohingya crisis and role of Bangladesh’ at a hotel in capital’s Gulshan on Wednesday afternoon.

Representatives from US, UK, China, Canada, France, Australia, Japan, India, Pakistan, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Afghanistan, Turkey and officials from UN and democracy international joined the discussion program.

BNP’s suggestions include: creating national unity, citizenship in rohingya repatriation, security, right to free movement in their own land and others.

In the seminar, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, “We want to go to the near of the government, people, world humanity through this seminar.”

Meanwhile, he urges international organizations, UN and world to play a role to solve the crisis.

BNP standing committee member Abdul Moin Khan, Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, former foreign secretary Reaz Rahman, Economist professor Mahbub Ullah and others spoke in the function.
