BSF returns Bangladeshi farmer’s body

Indian Border Security Force on Monday returned the body of a Bangladeshi farmer, couple of days after he was shot dead allegedly by Indian Border Security Force along Daulatpur border in Kushtia.

BSF handed over the body of Soleman, 47, son of Shahadat of Salimerchar area of Ramkrishnapur union under Daulatpur upazila, to police and Border Guard Bangladesh around 4:00pm.

Kushtia-47 BGB assistant director Ziaur Rahman said, BSF opened fire on Soleman when he was working at his paddy field on the border around 10:00pm on February 4.

Later, BSF took away the body into their territory.
