Baby boy named ‘Amphan’

A baby boy, who was bornon the night of the severe storm, has been named Amphan.

SamiaBegum gave birth to a baby boy at MonpuraUpazila Health Complex in Bhola district when the cyclone storm was lashing the country’s south west region.

Later, doctors and nurses of the health complex named the child Amphan.

SamiaBegum is the wife of Salauddin at Charjatin village under Hajirhat union of the upazila.

Both the newborn baby and her mother are well.

Severe cyclonic storm ‘Ampan’ crossed the West Bengal-Khulna coast near the Sundarbans on Wednesday night.
