Bangabandhu-BPL to be started on Dec 11

The special edition of ‘Bangabandhu-BPL’ cricket will kick-off on December 11. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the tournament on December 8.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan made the announcement while addressing reporters after a board meeting on Wednesday.

There will no franchisees in the BPL this year. The BCB itself will organize the Bangabandhu-BPL, Nazmul Hasan said earlier.  

Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), the domestic T20 tournament is named after Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to commemorate the occasion of his 100th birth anniversary.
