Bangladesh-Bhutan goods transport via India transit begins

Diplomatic Correspondent: Goods transport between Bangladesh and Bhutan has begun using India as a transit. For the first time, a stone-laden Indian ship reached Narayanganj on July 16.
A press release sent by Indian High Commission in Dhaka revealed the news on Thursday.
It said, “India high commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das received the first shipment that reached Narayanganj via Indo-Bangla protocol route.”
Earlier on July 12, India State Minister for Shipping Mansukh Laxmanbhai Mandaviya digitally inaugurated the MV AAI ship of the India Inland Water Transport Authority.
Later on the ship started it trip from Dhubri of Asam and reached Narayanganj via Brahmaputra.
