Bangladesh, thanks to Shakib’s 70 runs, beat Afghanistan by 4 wickets in the final league game (6th match) of the ongoing tri-series T20 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday.
Bangladesh reached the target of 139 runs losing 6 wickets with remaining an over left.
Shakib Al Hasan hit a brilliant innings of 70 runs off 45 balls which includes 8 fours and a six.
Mushfiqur Rahim scored 26 runs off 25 balls Mosaddek Hossain (not out) 19 runs off 12 balls.
For Afghanistan, Naveen-ul-Haq and skipper Rashid Khan shared two wickets each.
Besides, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Karim Janat got a wicket each.
Earlier in the first innings, Afghanistan, thanks to Hazratullah Zazai’s 47 runs, posted 138 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Hazratullah Zazai hit a quick innings of 47 runs off 35 balls which includes 6 fours and 2 sixes.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 29 runs of 27 balls that includes 2 fours and 2 sixes as well.
Shafiqullah Shafiq was unbeaten for 23 runs while Najibullah Zadran posted 14 runs.
For Bangladesh, Afif Hossain smashed 2 wickets for 9 runs in 4 overs with a maiden.
Besides, Shakib Al Hasan, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mustafizur Rahman and Shafiul Islam shared a wicket each.
