Bangladesh hands over list of 50,506 Rohingyas to Myanmar

Bangladesh handed over a fresh list of 50,506 more Rohingyas to the Myanmar authorities for verification.

Foreign minister sources said that list was sent on Tuesday.

The sources said, a meeting took place between Delwar Hossain, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Myanmar affairs) and Myanmar Ambassador in Dhaka U Lwin Oo. During the meeting the list of Rohingyas was handed over to Myanmar. Now, the authority of Myanmar will check the list.

Earlier, in first phase, Bangladesh handed over a fresh list of 8,000 Rohingyas to Myanmar for verification before their repatriation to Rakhine State.
