Bangladesh up in ICC Test ranking

Sports Correspondent: Bangladesh have improved their Test ranking whitewashing Zimbabwe in the three-match Test series.

According to the latest ICC Test ranking, Bangladesh rose to number nine position with 32 rating. The Tigers’ previous position was at number ten. Bangladesh currently hold 676 points from 21 matches.

The Tigers completed a 3-0 whitewash in the three-match Test series against Zimbabwe crushing the touring side by 186 runs in the third Test at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Sunday.

Before the series, Zimbabwe were at number nine position.

Congratulating the Bangladesh team for the brilliant performance, BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon said the Tigers must climb to the number 8 position in the ICC ranking within 2016.
