'Bangladeshis can return home through proper procedure'

If any Bangladeshi citizen lives in India, he or she will be brought back to the country following the proper procedure.

Foreign Minister Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen said this after a news item was published in different media in this regard, said a press release of the foreign ministry on Thursday.

According to the press release “Some media published that Foreign Minister Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen said Bangladeshis by birth will be received here from India. But it is misquoted, the minister did not say about ‘by birth”.

“If any Bangladeshi citizen lives not only in India, but also in other countries, he or she will be brought back to the country following the proper procedure”, the press release also said.
