Bangladeshis stranded in UK to return June 13

Second chartered flight has been arranged to bring back Bangladeshi nationals who have been stranded in the UK amid flight suspension due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The government in coordination with Bangladesh High Commission in the United Kingdom (UK) made the arrangement.

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines aircraft will depart from Terminal 2 of Heathrow Airport at 10 am (London time) on June 13 carrying stranded Bangladeshi nationals, according to  Bangladesh High Commission in the UK.

The mission urged all intending passengers to register through the Bangladesh High Commission London link – https://forms.gle/qFXRvriFCLUUVV857 – for secure their seats at the flight.

Seat arrangement of the flight will be made maintaining social distancing while the ticket prices were fixed at 600 pounds for economy class and 1435 pounds for business class, the high commission said.

On May 10, the government first brought back 114 stranded Bangladeshi nationals from London by a special chartered flight of Biman Bangladesh airlines.

On May 25, Bangladesh extended the ongoing ban on flight operation for the seventh consecutive time till June 15 over the coronavirus fear while it resumed flights on domestic routes on June 1.
