Barrister Sayedul Haque Sumon has announced to move free legal battle for police officer Mahmud Saiful Amin, who raised allegation of Tk 180 crore income of Jatiya Sangsad whip Shamsul Hoque Chowdhury.
He came up with the announcement at the Supreme Court (SC) Bar Building on Thursday.
Barrister Sumon said, “The authority could seek explain over Saiful Amin’s statement over whip rather than suspending him. The suspension without giving him any chance for self-defence is illegal. With this, honest police officers will lose encouragement. So, I decided to move legal battle free for him at the High Court (HC).”
Mentionable, Saiful Amin, an inspector of Armed Police Battalion (APBn), on Tuesday posted a facebook status alleging TK 180 crore income of Jatiya Sangsad whip Shamsul Hoque Chowdhury.
Later, police authority suspended him on charge of making derogatory remarks about Jatiya Sangsad whip Shamsul Hoque Chowdhury.
