Buriganga launch capsize: Case filed against owner, 5 others

A case has been filed against six people including the owner of the launch MV Moyur-2 with South Keraniganj police station over the launch capsize in the Buriganga River that killed 32 people on Monday.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadarghat police station Rejaul Karim on Monday night told risingbd: "A sub-inspector filed a case with South Keraniganj police station in connection with the launch capsize in the Buriganga River."
The six accused included Mofazzal Hamid, owner of the launch MV Moyur-2, master Abul Basar, Zakir Hossain, driver Shipon Hawlader, master Skakil and sukani Nasir.
At least 32 people were killed on Monday morning when a launch named Morning Bird, coming to Dhaka from Munshiganj, capsized in the Buriganga river after being hit by another one named Moyur-2 near Farashganj Ghat in Dhaka.
