By-polls to Chattogram-8: Bablu not to contest polls

Jatiya Party nominated candidate Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu has confirmed that he will not be contesting the by-elections to Chattogram-8.

He took the decision on Sunday afternoon following the direction of the party chairman Golam Mohammad Kader.

Jatiya Party decided to skip the by-polls ahead of national council of the party, JP press secretary Sunil Suvro Roy said.

It was known that Zia Uddin Bablu was given an important post to make successful the national council of Jatiya Party.
