COVID-19 negative certificate must for travelling overseas: Biman

Bangladesh citizens, willing to go abroad, must carry coronavirus negative certificates. It has made compulsory.
The decision will come into effect from Thursday (July 23).
A notification signed by Biman Bangladesh Airlines Deputy General Manager Tahera Khandoker revealed the development on Saturday.
In the notification, it has been requested to follow the instructions regarding the Covid-19 test announced by the government.
The instructions are: No sample will be collected before 72 hours of travel and arrangements should be made to receive the report 24 hours before departure. At the time of giving sample, the passengers will have to present air ticket along with the passport and pay the fee. They will give sample at separate booth set up at the District Civil Surgeon's Office respective district where the laboratory designated for the Covid-19 test is located. The person concerned must be in isolation from the time of giving sample till the time of departure. Foreign travelers will have to pay a fee of Tk 3,500 for giving sample at the lab and Tk 4,500 for in case of collecting samples from home.
16 government hospitals or institutions have been dedicated for conducting Covid test for travelers. These are: Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, Chattogram Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar Medical College, Cumilla Medical College, Dhaka’s National Institute of Laboratory Medicine and Referral Centre, Institute of Public Health, National Institute of Preventative and Social Medicine, Narayanganj 300-bed Hospital, Khulna Medical College, Kushtia Medical College, Mymensingh Medical Collge, Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College in Bogura, Rajshahi Medical College, Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College, Rangpur Medical Collge and Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College.
