Cautionary signal 3 for sea ports

Staff Correspondent: Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra maritime ports have been advised to hoist signal number 3 – as a deep convection is taking place over North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of the country.

Meteorologist Aftab Uddin confirmed the matter to risingbd on Tuesday.

According to the met office bulletin, “A deep convection is taking place over the North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh. It may further intensify.”

The maritime ports are advised to hoist local cautionary signal number 3 due to the deep convection, Aftab Uddin said.
