Child Rape in Dhaka: Main accused held

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel have arrested the main accused in a case filed over rape of a seven-year-old girl at Dhaka’s Sabujbagh.

Sources said that the elite force conducted a drive in Razanagar of Habiganj on Thursday night and arrested Md Jubayer Ahmed Talukdar. He will be handed over to Sabujbagh police station on Friday.

The alleged rapist lived in a room in the home rented by the minor’s family.

On January 16, Zubayer lured the child to his room with chocolates when her family was not at home.
