A 10-year old boy has been slaughtered by miscreants in Cumilla sadar upazila.
The incident took place on Saturday night at Durgapur Chompoknagar village of sadar upazila.
The deceased is Mehedi Hasan, a third grader and son of Saudi expatriate Alamgir Hossain.
According to locals, the body of Mehedi was found at a ditch around 9.30pm after he went missing.
“The child’s body has been sent to Cumilla Medical College Hospital for autopsy. A man has been detained for interrogation”, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Police Station Anwarul Haq.
