Condition of Bangladeshi infected with coronavirus critical

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said the condition of one among the five Bangladeshis infected with coronavirus in Singapore is critical.

The foreign minister came up with the information while speaking at a programme held over the reform of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at Hotel InterContinental in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Momen said, “Singapore's Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan told him over telephone that one among the five Bangladeshis infected with coronavirus in Singapore is in critical condition. They are enquiring about him. But no medicine is working on the body of the Bangladeshi infected.”

He said the Bangladeshi national who is in critical condition is 39 years old. But he declined to disclose his name at this moment.

So far, 81 people were infected with coronavirus in Singapore among whom five are Bangladeshi.
