Convicted Rigan wears IS cap at court premises

Rakibul Hasan Rigan, one of the seven death row convicts of the Holey Artisan Bakery attack case, was seen wearing a cap of international militant group-Islamic State (IS) at court premises on Wednesday.

Besides, another convict was also seen wearing same type of cap. However, his name was not known instantly.

Following the issue, Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Abdullah Abu expressed anxiety and said, “Where did the accused get this cap?”

Lawyer Delwar said, “I do not know where did the IS cap come from?.”

Earlier in the day, a Dhaka court sentenced seven people to death in the case filed over the horrific militant attack on the Holey Artisan Bakery at Gulshan in the capital that left 22 people killed on July 1, 2016.
