Cop beaten up for eve-teasing

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi:  A police constable was beaten up by some young girls for allegedly teasing a girl in Laxmipur kitchen market area of the city on Thursday night.

According to sources, Sabbir Hossain, 30, a police constable of Paba Police Station, eve-teased a girl in the area around 10.30 pm.

Following this, some girls thrashed the accused with their shoes, leaving him injured.

On information, a team of police from Rajpara Police Station rushed to the spot and rescued the police constable.

Later, he was taken to Rajpara Police Station after primary treatment.
