BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has proposed the government to form a national committee to combat deadly coronavirus.
He made the proposal while talking to reporters at his own residence in the capital Uttara on Tuesday.
Fakhrul said we never criticised the government just for criticism, but for assistance. A national committee has yet not been formed to fight back against coronavirus.
It will be welfare for the country if any national consensus can be created to prevent coronavirus. I think it is high time to make a national committee, he added.
Suggesting the committee with leaders from political parties and members of civil society, Fakhrul said it is Prime Minister who has to take move for this. Meeting in persons is not necessary for this.
He further said you (PM) form the committee through holding a video conference. Then, every will get an idea that we are one.
