Court directs Sumon not to write FB post over court issues

The High Court (HC) directed Barrister Sayedul Haque Sumon not to provide Facebook post over judiciary department and lawyers.
The HC bench comprising Justice Tariq-ul Hakim and Justice Md Iqbal Kabir passed the verbal order on Wednesday
During the court hearing, senior lawyer Barrister M Amir-ul-Islam produced the speeches of Barrister Sumon posted on Facebook and various online news portals.
Later, the court stayed the effectiveness of a gazette notification issued by Bangladesh Bar Council permitting Md Zumman Siddique, son of a High Court judge, to practice law in the High Court even though Zumman could not qualify the enrollment examination.
Barrister Anik R Haque, Barrister Sayedul Haque Sumon and Advocate Ishrat Jahan moved for the petitioner while attorney general Mahbube Alam stood for the state.
