Cricketers call off strike

The cricketers have called off their strike after Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) accepted their demands.

The decision came following a successful meeting between the BCB and the cricketers at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday night.

Following the fruitful discussion, the players will return field through third round of the national cricket league beginning on Saturday. The national team players will join the camp on Friday ahead of India tour.

After the meeting, Shakib Al Hasan said, “Most of the demands are being met. Discussion will be held about the rest of the demands. Board president assured us that all the demands will be met.”

“We will be happy when these demands will be implemented. However, the discussion was fruitful till today,” he added.
