DU BCL women assault female teacher

A female teacher of Dhaka University (DU) has allegedly been assaulted by women leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).

The teacher is identified as Professor Zobaida Nasreen. She is a teacher of the Department of Anthropology.

She has submitted a written complaint to the university VC, president and general secretary of Teachers Association and Proctor of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall.

She said the incident took place on Sunday evening. 

It was learnt that a clash was erupted between two groups over distributing sarees on BCL anniversary on Sunday evening.  Zobaida Nasreen, assistant resident teacher of the hall, came forward to stop them. But BCL leaders and activists assaulted her.
