DU academic activities halted

Staff Correspondent:  Academic activities at the University of Dhaka have come to a halt as a group of students locked university gates on Sunday morning, demanding an end to the university's affiliation with seven colleges.

According to sources, the students put locks at the main gate of university’s registrar building, arts building, business faculty and social science building in the morning.

“The locks will not be opened until our demands are met. Our movement will continue,” agitated students said.
