‘Delay charge on electricity bill until June waived’

The power division has decided to waive delay charge on electricity bills until June.

State Minister for the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu came up with the development to the reporters at the Secretariat on Sunday.

He said, “We are hearing about various sufferings over electricity bills. If anyone has an extra bill, it will be adjusted later.”

He further said, “There is no need to pay bill hastily amid the ongoing risk of coronavirus. We have decided to waive of delay charges until June.”

Earlier in notification, government waived delay charges on electricity bills until May.
