Dhaka, eight other districts get new DC

The government has appointed nine bureaucrats as deputy commissioners (DC) to nine districts including the capital Dhaka. 

The Public Administration Ministry has issued a gazette notification in this regard on Thursday (June 25).

Md Shahidul Islam has been appointed as the DC for Dhaka, Md Ataul Goni for Tangail, Md Shahidul Islam Chowdhury for Meherpur, Mir Nahid Ahsan for Moulvibazar, Md Tamijul Islam Khan for Jashore, Mohammad Khorshed Alam Khan for Noakhali, Abdul Jalil for Rajshahi, Md Ziaul Haque for Bogura and Dr Rahima Khatun for Madaripur district, according to the notification.
