‘Drug peddler’ found dead in Satkhira

Satkhira Correspondent:  Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a suspected drug peddler from Bakal Islampur area of Sadar upazila early Friday.

The deceased was identified as Mansur Rahman Sheikh, 45, a resident of Chandipur village of Shyamnagar upazila. He was wanted in 14 cases.

Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Mostafizur Rahman said hearing sound of gunshots, a team of police went to the spot in the wee hours and recovered the body.
One shutter gun was recovered from the spot.

The OC also said Mansur might have been killed in a gunfight between two groups of drug traders.
