‘Drug peddler’ killed in Meherpur

Meherpur Correspondent: A suspected drug peddler was killed in a gunfight between two groups of drug peddlers in Meherpur district early Tuesday.

The incident took place around 3.00am at Govipur village under Meherpur sadar upazila.

The deceased was identified as Hamidul Islam, 30, son of Aroz Ali at Buriputa village of sadar upazila.

Police also recovered a shooter gun, two bullets and 12 bottles of Phensidyl syrup from the spot.
