Drug trader killed in N’ganj gunfight

Staff Correspondent: A suspected drug trader was killed in a gunfight with members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at Chengrakanda area of Sonargaon in Narayanganj early Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Ridoy alias Gitthu Ridoy.

RAB-11 Additional police super Jashim Uddin told risingbd searching was underway in the area on Dhaka-Chattogram highway. Meanwhile, criminals opened fire from a private car aiming RAB official. In reply, the law enforcers also opened fire, leaving Ridoy shot dead and injured two RAB members.

Later, RAB also detained three persons from the car. They are- private car driver, his assistant Islam Dolar and Selim.

A private car, a pistol, two rounds of bullets, 500 pieces of Yaba pills and five lethal weapons.
