Drugs worth TK 5cr destroyed in Sylhet

Staff Correspondent, Sylhet: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) destroyed drugs worth nearly TK 5.5 crore on Wednesday in Sylhet.

Concerned sources said the drugs included 36087 bottles of Indian liquor, 1,659 liter of locally made liquor, 1,812 bottles of Indian beer, 2,272 bottles of Phensidyle, 257 pieces of Yaba pills, 10 kilograms of Ganja and 3084000 pieces of Indian cigarettes.

The drugs were destroyed at BGB-48 Battalion Sadar Headquarters Basketball ground this morning.
