Dwellers of red-zone asked to offer prayers at home

The Ministry of Religion Affairs directed the dwellers of red zones to offer prayers at home to stop spreading coronavirus.

The ministry issued a notification in this regard on Thursday (June 18).

According to the statement, the infection situation of coronavirus (COVID-19) is deteriorating rapidly in Bangladesh. The number of infected persons and victims are increasing day by day. Health Decorate decided to split the country into red, yellow and green zones considering infections. Already, zoning system have been implemented in some areas.

The directions include-
All the Musullis except (pilgrims) Khotib, Imam, Muazzin and Khadem of mosque have been asked to say their prayer at home in red-zone areas.

Five persons can go to mosque to run Jamaat while maximum 10 persons will be allowed in Jummah prayer in the red-zone. Dwellers of outside of red-zone will not be allowed in mosque for the sake of health safety.

Similarly, followers of other religions were directed to stay at home avoiding their religious centers.

No Waz Mahfil, Tafsir Mahfil, Tablig Talim or Milad Mahfil will be allowed across the country during this time.
