EC extends validity of temporary NID cards for indefinite time

The Election Commission (EC) has extended validity of the temporary national identity (NID) cards for indefinite period.

A press release signed by NID division’s communication officer-in-charge squadron leader Kazi Ashikuzzaman confirmed the matter on Saturday (June 20).

According to the notification, validity of national identity cards having two-year tenure from the date of issue has been extended for indefinite period.

If required, the NID holders having cards inscribed with tenures in back page of the cards can download their NIDs from this link https://services.nidw.gov.bd.
