‘Education Act very soon’

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said Education Act, 2020 is at final stage which will be placed before the cabinet very soon for approval.

She came up with the information while addressing the first convocation of Millennium University held at International Convention City Bashundhara in Dhaka on Thursday.

Dipu Moni said the government is formulating a time-befitting education policy and working relentlessly in order to implement it.

The government is also formulating a guideline of minimum eligibility to recruit teachers, uniform admission test and increasing allotment to encourage infrastructure development and research as per masterplan, she added.

The university’s first convocation was chaired by the education minister.
