Eid-e-Milaudunnabi: Directive to hold mehfil at schools, colleges

Secretariat Correspondent: The Education Ministry has directed the authorities concerned to organize milad mehfil in all schools and colleges on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi.

A circular was issued from the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry in this regard on Monday.

The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, the anniversary of birth and demise of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), will be observed on Wednesday (November 21) amid religious fervor and due solemnity across the country. 

President and Prime Minister will give separate messages marking the day.

The national flag will be hoisted at all the government, semi-government buildings, autonomous organisations, non-government buildings and all the armed forces establishments across the country on the day.

Different social, cultural, religious, spiritual and political organisations and different state-run organisations including the Islamic Foundation will organize programmes to mark the day, a public holiday.
