Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday as moon not sighted

Holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival of Muslims, will be celebrated in the country on Monday as the Shawwal moon was not sighted in Bangladesh sky on Saturday (May 23).
National Moon Sighting Committee made the announcement around 7:50 pm at a meeting held at the conference room of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka.
Secretary of the religious affairs ministry and vice-president of the committee Md Nurul Islam presided over the meeting.
