Election process needs reformation: EC Mahbub

Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukdar said if election is precondition for democracy, it needs to be held in free, fair and neutral manner.

He said representatives who won election illegally have no commitment for people. The Election Commission (EC) is legally independent. But, the freedom of the Election Commission (EC) is confined to its own system. It needs reformation.

EC Mahbub said this while speaking at a programme of returning officers held in the capital’s Agargaon on Wednesday.
