Ershad to swear in: Rowshan

Staff Correspondent, DHAKA, Jan 8: Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad who is under treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH), will swear in as a member of the parliament (MP) of 10th national election, party presidium member Rowshan Ershad said.

Rowshan Ershad, who is set to be the Opposition Leader in the 10th parliament, came up with the disclosure while addressing to reporters at a press conference on Wednesday evening.

She said that Ershad, also the former President, is guiding party leaders from the hospital.

Rowshan also said that JP had participated in the 10th parliamentary polls for the sake of constitution and democracy.

Jatiaya Party secured win in 13 constituencies in 10th parliamentary polls held on January 5.

A total of 153 contestants have been elected unopposed for the 10th parliament.
