Fakhrul phones Quader for Khaleda's release

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Friday said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir phoned him demanding release of Khaleda Zia.

Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, came up with the information at a press conference at AL President Sheikh Hasina's political office in the capital’s Dhanmondi area on Friday noon.

“I had a discussion with Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on the release of Begum Khaleda Zia over telephone. But I did not receive any written application seeking her release,” Quader said.
