Fakhrul gets exemption in defamation case

Staff Correspondent: BNP acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has got exemption in a defamation case.

Anwar Sadat of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court passed the order on Wednesday morning.

President of Bangabandhu Foundation Moshiur Malek filed the defamation case against Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir for his comment about then State Minister for Law Advocate Quamrul Islam.

 

At a discussion at the National Press on July 14 in 2010, the BNP leader said, “Quamrul Islam is a man with mentally disability”.
