Staff Correspondent: The Court on Wednesday set August 14 for submission of the probe report in the case filed for killing former host of Channel i television Nurul Islam Faruqi.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Majharul Haque fixed the new date on Sunday as Arshed Ali Mandal, Inspector of CID, failed to submit the report as per the deadline.
Earlier on August 28, 2014, Channel-i presenter Maulana Nurul Islam Faruqi was murdered at his residence at city’s East Rajabazar area.
He was an anchor of popular "Kafela" and "Shantir Pothe" programmes of private television channel i and MyTV. He was also the international affairs secretary of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat.
