Ferry service on Shimulia-Kathalbari route resumes

Ferry services on Shimulia-Kathalbari route resumed after six hours of disruption caused by poor navigability and strong current in Padma river.

Nasir Uddin Ahmed, deputy general manager at Shimulia ghat (BIWTC), confirmed the matter.

Due to the disruption in ferry service, more than 500 vehicles got stranded at both sides to cross the river.

The ferry service on the route remained halted since 3:00am on Sunday.
