‘Final list of Freedom Fighters by Victory Day’

Staff Correspondent: Liberation War Affairs Minister Mozammel Haque said the final list of Freedom Fighters will be published and they will be provided Identity cards by the upcoming Victory Day (December 16).

The Minister came up with the disclosure while speaking at a discussion on the National Mourning Day held at the National Press Club in the capital on Friday.

Mozammel Haque further said, “The facilities Freedom Fighters (FFs) will get to be mentioned on the back side of the ID cards. History of Liberation War and information about the cruel opponent (Pakistan) will be included in the textbooks to inform the next generation.”

He also said, “The government has taken some effective facilities for Freedom Fighters like- bonus on Victory Day and Independence Day, festival bonus and free treatment at all government hospitals.”

“All the roads and streets, state and important establishments will be named after Freedom Fighters. 20,000 Freedom Fighters will be provided Tk 1,500,000 each for making houses on the occasion of Mujib Year,” he added.
