First Eid jamaat held at Baitul Mukarram

Senior Correspondent: The first Eid congregation was held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 7:00am on Monday amid tight security.

Senior Pesh imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Mufti Mawlana Mohibullahil Baki Nadvi administrated the prayers.

Thousands of Muslim devotees including women attended the congregation at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

Attendees also exchanged eid greetings with each other after the Eid Jamaat.

Additional security has been beefed up in and around Baitul Mukarram National Mosque area on the occasion of Eid jamaat.

However, Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of the Muslims, is being celebrated across the country on Monday with due solemnity and religious fervor.
