Foreign engineer electrocuted in capital

An Indonesian engineer was electrocuted in the capital on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Tawfiq, 45.

Inspector Bacchu Mia of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost said he came in contact with a live electric wire when he was working at a power station of Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC) next to the central playground of Dhaka University.

He was taken to the hospital around 10.30am when the doctors declared him dead.
