Former Sylhet City Mayor Kamran laid to rest 

Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran, the first mayor of Sylhet City Corporation, has been laid to eternal rest at Manikpir graveyard in Sylhet.

Before the burial, his namaz-e-janaza was held at Sylhet town’s Sorarpar Jame Majid around 1:30pm on Monday (June 15).

Thousands of mourners joined the namaz-e-janaza. Meanwhile, the authority discouraged general people to join the funeral due to coronavirus crisis.

Earlier, on Monday morning, Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran died while undergoing treatment for coronavirus (Covid-19) at a city hospital.
