Founder of Shanto-Mariam University dies with corona symptoms

Md Imamul Kabir Shanto, founding chairman of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology ( SMUCT), has passed away with coronavirus-like symptoms.

He breathed his last at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka at 7 am on Saturday (May 30).

Lily Islam, public relations officer of the university, confirmed his death.

Imamul was also the founding chairman of Sundarban Courier Service, Shanto Nibash and Shanto-Mariam Foundation.
