Gas supply disrupted in Dhaka

Staff Correspondent: Gas supply to some key areas of the capital including Ashulia, Savar, Aminbazar, Gabtali, Mirpur, Pikepara, Pirerbagh, Kalayanpur, Shyamoli, Mohammadpur, Dhanmandi, Azimpur and Hazaribagh might be disrupted on Saturday.

Due to technical error, the Titas Gas authorities shut down in the city areas from Saturday morning to Sunday.

Titas Gas sources said that the supply will remain halted to all kinds of consumers including household, commercial, industrial and CNG refueling stations in these area.

Shafikul Islam Khan, Deputy General Manager of Gas Transmission Company (GTCL) system department operations division (north) said, valve of a gas supply line broke resulting in the outage. The situation may become normal from Sunday.
