Gazipur raid: 3 militants identified

Staff Correspondent: Among the seven suspected militants killed in a drive of law enforcers at a den in Pathartek area of the Gazipur city, three have been identified, police said.

Gazipur Police Super Mohammad Harun Or Rashid confirmed the matter at a press briefing in the office of Police Super on Tuesday afternoon.

The Police Super said relatives of the killed militants came to his office after seeing their photos in the media. They informed me that they have come here to identify the bodies.

Later, the Police Super allowed them to identify whether the killed militants were their relatives.

The relatives identified Saiful Islam Babul of Chhatak upazila in Sunamganj and Md Ibrahim, son of Azimuddin, a resident of Dhaka’s Bangshal area. Faridul Islam Akash of Sirajganj was earlier identified.
