Germany’s development cooperation with Myanmar to be suspended

The development cooperation with Myanmar will be suspended until Myanmar allows Rohingyas to return to their homes in Rakhine State safely.
In a press release, German embassy in Dhaka said this on Thursday.
German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Dr Gerd Müller went Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar on February 26. He made the announcement during the visit.
Earlier, German Minister arrived in Dhaka on Tuesday on a two-day visit to discuss bilateral issues. He met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 6:30pm on Tuesday at her official residence Gonobhaban.
